Dentures are false teeth that are made in a lab to replace missing teeth you may have lost over the years. They are made of acrylic, and are sometimes reinforced with metal, and are made to fit your mouth. There are two types of dentures: Full dentures (also known as complete dentures) and Partial Dentures.
Partial dentures are usually worn where there are a few teeth still left in the jaw. Metal clasps lock around these teeth to stabilise the denture in the mouth. The base of the partial denture can be made out of plastic or metal. The teeth used are closely colour and shape matched to your existing teeth, so that it looks as natural as possible.
Full dentures are a whole set of teeth for the top or bottom jaw, or both. If you require a new denture, or are just wanting to know what other treatment options are available for you, contact us today.
